Ordering

To order a strain or antibody please click on the basket in the upper right panel of each page, labelled "Order here". This will take you to an online form which you can submit directly to us. Once you have done this, we will acknowledge your enquiry and a request for a purchase order from you. Once we have received this, we will email you an invoice (which includes information on how to pay), and send your order the following Monday to ensure it reaches you on a working day.

Delivery costs

You may organise your own courier to collect your order or we can do this for you: if you choose the latter, we will obtain a quote for delivery cost and this will be added to your invoice.

Please Note: If you are NOT based in the United Kingdom and wish to order live isolates, please ensure you have an import licence to prevent delays in customs. The Biobank cannot be held responsible for loss of viability due to parcels being held in customs; provision of a valid import licence will greatly reduce this risk.

Additionally, if ordering genetically modified organisms, please ensure that your organisation has the necessary regulatory permissions to accept these.

Depositing strains

If you have any interesting strains you would like us to hold in the Biobank, please get in touch via our contacts page. Providing they are unique and of biological interest we will be happy to include them in the Biobank for the good of the scientific community. However, should you wish to keep strains confidential (i.e. until your results are published) we can accommodate this wish for a defined period. We are currently only including C. trachomatis, but may in the future extend this to other species within the Chlamydiaceae. Please let us know if you would be interested in ordering or depositing such isolates. We look forward to hearing from you!
